If I request a prescription for Zoloft, would my doctor give it to me

Probably, if ur doctor has been through ur history with u & knows that the other medications have not worked & that the counseling did not work then I dont think he would have a problem giving u the zoloft because it is not an addictive medication & it is fine to take if u do have depression. I would say though that u have to make sure u give it time. It takes about a month to start working so give it time, & u should also continue ur counseling because u never know u might feel better once u get on the right medication & when u r talking to someone. If u dont like the counselor u currently have then u can always find another one, until u r comfortable with someone.

Possibly, but if you'd done THAT much research, you'd know there is almost no difference between Zoloft and a slew of other SSRI's. Take my word for it, if you are not a doctor, you can not do enough research to make a more informed choice than he.

yes zoloft is great. i have anxiety and it helped me soo much. and if you really need it, your doctor will definitely prescribe it. your doctor will first put you on a small dosage, 25 mg is what i was first on, and after a few weeks or months your doctor may raise it to 50 mg if needed. there are a couple of side effects though, so i would talk to your doctor about it. when i first took it, the only side effect was that i was extremely drowsy and would sleep a lot. good luck ;D

If a doctor has already prescribed Welbutrin, he or she would probably have no problem trying Zoloft. This would be subject to a winding down period for the Welbutrin, if any, and paying close attention to Zoloft side effects.

Probably. Zoloft is a widely used anti depressent. My Dr. gave me an option, and I've been on zoloft for a year now.

You need to go to your doctor tell him and he recommends you to some drug doc (forgot what they're called) they will give it to you and probably send you to a physiologist.

It depends on your relationship with your doctor. If he or she feels that you have your head screwed on straight and that Zoloft might help, you will probably get it.

If he is the one who gave you welbutrin, tell him you did not like it. You can tell him you know people who've done well on Zoloft, but he might try that or suggest something else.

mostly a doctor will tell you if you need this. But zoloft is good but there are a lot more things to do without medicens. Its so easy to say i have this i have that but you get addicted like most medicine user and its not healthy try to do things without medicens and live healthy

some doctors do, other doctors will refer you to a shrink who will counsel you and provide prescription for you.
