l have always had a problem with my sex drive anyways, but since going on Zoloft it has been practically non existent. l have no desire at all for anything sexual. My mood was effecting my relationship before Zoloft and now it is my low sex drive. l need any suggestions you might be able to give.

What can I do to help with my libido while on Zoloft

I've researched this extensively & found the following suggestions:

1. Wait & see if the problem goes away.

2. Lower Dosage

3. Change meds to a different SSRI

4. Wellbutrin, either as a substitute or along with Zoloft

5. Other meds r available that u can take along with Zoloft that offset this side effect.

6. Viagra/Cialis, etc., even for women

7. Drug Holiday - do not take meds for a day or so before having sex

8. Gingo Biloba

Obviously most of these can not or should not be tried without consulting ur doctor. I just started the Ginko since it seems safe. No news to report just yet.

Ya know my doctor put me on zoloft to try to help prevent my migraines. It did seem to help everything (even my mood, too lol) except my sex life. I had no sex drive what-so-ever & my hubby was getting pretty aggrevated about it. I went back to my doctor & told him about my problem & he put me on something else. It also seems to work just as good as the zoloft, & I definately have my sex drive back (I can not get enough of my husband now!). Maybe u should check back with ur doctor to let them know what is going on & get them to change ur medication. Most likely that is what it will have to take to get ur libido back. Hope that helps :)
